-------------------------------------------
- Give equal importance to all subjects. Just because Mathematics has 100 marks does not mean that you concentrate more on it. Give equal importance to Physics and Chemistry.
- Do not leave any topics as optional as questions will be asked from all topics.
- In MHT-CET, every mark is important.
- Develop your own shortcuts.
- Do self study.
- Practice at home after attending coaching class.
- If you get an answer wrong while solving MCQs, revise the theory related to that particular topic.
- Identify weak topics and attempt more questions in these topics.
- Study your weak topics when your mind is fresh.
- Attempt as many questions as possible.
- Speed and accuracy are very important. Speed not at the cost of accuracy
- Group study is very useful for MHT-CET preparation.
- You need to get a MHT-CET score greater than 180-185 to get a college of your choice.
Prof. Sanjay Ranade
-----------------------------
- Mathematics is simpler than Physics. So if you are devoting 2 hours for Mathematics daily, you need to devote 3 hours for physics and chemistry each.
- You should know your multiplication tables thoroughly.
- Remembering formulae in Mathematics is very important.
- Questions appearing in Board Examination should be studied thoroughly. Almost 70% of them come in MHT-CET.
- Have full faith in your teacher.
- If I rate the difficulty level of IIT JEE as 10, then the CET difficulty level stands at 2.5.
- Use a black ball point pen to make dark circles to mark the answer. Blue ball pen is not allowed.
- Mark only one answer for every question.
- Attempt all practice tests in one sitting.
- Parents should encourage their children to attend tests even if they are not fully prepared.
- Solve CET tests in the last 15 days.

----------------------------------
- Revise syllabus of 11th standard.
- Read the sanctioned textbooks thoroughly.
- Try to solve Chemistry paper in 40 minutes so that you get extra 5 minutes for Physics.
- Decide if you want to attempt chemistry first or physics first and follow the same strategy till the end.
- Solve chapter-wise questions.
- Write formulas on a different sheet of paper.
- For memory based questions, revise orally.
Prof. Shirish Apte
--------------------------
- Physics questions comes mostly from the sanctioned textbooks:
- Prepare all chapters from all the three books
- Prepare all topics and do not leave any as optional.
- You should have all formulas at the tip of your tongue.
- Quality of MCQ questions are important, rather than the quantity.
- MHT-CET questions are easier than IIT-JEE questions, so do not solve IIT-JEE level difficult questions.
- Memorize multiplication tables thoroughly.
- Stop studying and solving new MCQs after a certain pre-specified date.
- Keep solving MCQs which you have already solved.
- Pick a strategy for answering questions and then stick to that. One suggested strategy is, during the examination, solve 25-30 Chemistry questions first and then solve 15-20Physics papers.
- While solving Chemistry, ensure that you mark the correct answer number on the answer sheet.
- Cover the upper part of the answer sheet so that you do not mark the wrong answer numbers.
- Try to solve all your questions within 90 minutes.
- Do not eat outside food in the last 15 days of the MHT-CET so that you remain healthy on the day of the exam.
- Do not disturb the biological clock of the body. Continue to eat/sleep/study at the same time everyday.
- Do not waste time by unnecessarily talking on phone, watching TV etc.
- On the day of exam, do not forget to carry these things with you: Bottle of water, food and also milk chocolate (if you feel giddy you can eat chocolate).
- If you get a score of less than 140, do not opt for engineering as you may not get a good college.
- Choose a course which you can excel in. Now-a-days there are many different careers you can opt for.
- Do not be disappointed if you get a low CET score. It just means that you have a little low practical ability. But there are many other career options available.
- Counseling is useful to find out where your aptitude lies.
- Choose a career after giving personality test. This will help you in choosing the right career.
- Avoid tension by following the below 3 points
- Do not expect more than your ability.
- Solve as many questions in random order. Confidence comes from practice.
- Advice for parents: Do not have unrealistic expectations from your children.
